Hemnes

Last saturday I went to Ikea with the intention to buy just a few small things ... and ended up with the Hemnes mirror-commode in my car. I have had an eye on it for quite a while but always not sure whether to buy or not ... and now there was a little paper on it saying "I have to go" (I suppose it will be out of stock soon). So I thought either now or never. :) It is in my corridor and in my opinion fitting nicely to the violet walls. And it is the new home of part of my kimono collection. I was actually very surprised when I could not fit everything in ... I have a bigger collection than I thought. Two drawers are filled up with tatoshi (kimono wrapping paper) that contain a kimono each. And the top drawer contains half of my obi collection. Accessories, kimono-Underwear, bags etc, so as some more obi I have to keep in my normal closet. Well, seeing this situation I suppose it is really time to get a proper big tansu. ^^

Letzten Samstag ging es zu Ikea - mit der Absicht ein paar Kleinigkeiten zu kaufen... aber es endete damit dass ich mit der Hemnes Spiegelkommode nach hause fuhr. Ich hatte schon lange ein Auge darauf geworfen und war mir aber nie sicher, sollte ich, sollte ich nicht... Doch diesmal hing ein kleines Zettelchen an der Kommode: "Ich muss raus" (die Kommode wird wohl bald nicht mehr erhältlich sein). Da wusste ich: entweder jetzt oder nie. :) Die Kommode steht nun in meiner lila Diele, zu der sie sehr gut passt - finde ich. Und sie beherbergt nun einen Teil meiner Kimono-Sammlung. Allerdings musste ich feststellen, dass meine Sammlung größer ist als gedacht. Die Schubladen der Kommode sind bis zum Rand mit Tatoshi gefüllt. Die oberste Schublade mit einem Teil meiner Obi-Sammlung. Den Rest (Accessoires, Kimono-Unterwäsche, Taschen, etc. und den anderen Teil meiner Obi) muss ich in meinem normalen Schrank lagern. Diese Situation führt mir mal wieder vor Augen dass es tatsächlich an der Zeit ist einen großen Tansu zu kaufen. ^^
